Although my last post primarily featured photos of the amazing wildlife and scenery from our trip to the Galapagos Islands, I was also able to enjoy the small town of Santa Cruz and explore “city” life while I was there. Looking back at these photos makes me realize how much I miss this trip!
To say that my trip to the Galapagos Islands was memorable would be putting it lightly. It was a once in a lifetime trip filled with experiences that will stay with me forever! Trying to capture the beauty in a photo was no easy task – they were truly some of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever seen. Whether I was on a hike around an island or snorkeling in the ocean with sharks (yes, I swam with sharks!), I constantly had to remind myself to take it all in!
One of the most fascinating things to me about the Galapagos besides the views, was obviously the wildlife. There were SO many wild animals to see, but it was their behavior that was like nothing I’ve experienced before. When it comes to humans they are fearless, which allows you to experience their world up close and personal like never before! I’ll be the first to admit, I hate birds I am not a bird person. That being said, there is no way you can go to the Galapagos and not admire the albatross with their insanely large wing-span or the blue footed boobies and their goofy little dance.
I’ll be back tomorrow with more! In the meantime, to see some additional photos from our trip, hop on over to Instagram!
This little white dress from Gap has quickly become my summer staple. So much so that I went back and scored this denim version on sale this past weekend! HOLLA! We all know how I feel about a good fit & flare, but I love how feminine this dress makes me feel the minute I put it on! And did I mention it has pockets? Do I dare say BEST DRESS EVER?!
If you haven’t already, I highly suggest you scoop yourself up one (or two) of these dresses while you still can. Let’s be honest, we still have a lot of warm weather ahead of us here in Dallas!
3 days. That’s how many I have to wait until I am in the Galapagos Islands! I could not be more excited about this summer adventure! Today, I decided to make a little packing guide to highlight some of the items I’ll be taking with me on my trip! Make sure to follow along here!
It’s no secret that I love an easy dress. I went into Gap this weekend in search of work-out clothes and what did I end up with? This dress. I’m a sucker for a good fit-and-flare but was torn between the black and white version and these beige-y pink stripes. Ultimately I ended up choosing pink and couldn’t be happier. I even wore it out that night!
I’m sure you don’t live under a rock so you are fully aware that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is currently in full swing. But now that you’ve had some time to look around, see what’s available, and think about what you may want – I thought I would highlight a few of my personal sale favorites!
Last week I mentioned how I have a huge weakness for the little white dress for summer, but my love for bold prints and bright color comes in close second. There really is no better time than summer to make a statement, especially one that includes these fun pom-pom earrings! I found this dress at Nordstrom for under $50 (I know, major score!) and could definitely see myself going back to get it in another color. It’s lightweight and perfect for any summer BBQ or outdoor concert!
If I could wear a dress every day, I would. In reality, I pretty much do. They’re just too easy to slip on and instantly look put-together.
The first time I saw this Free People dress at Nordstrom it was love at first sight. I didn’t purchase it right away, but that fact that I kept thinking about it was a sign. There’s just too much to love. As you know, I’m obsessed with white. I also adore the intricate gold details that sets it apart from the other white dresses I already own. Last but not least, it has the ultimate detail that easily made it a done deal: it’s twirl worthy.

My sister and I absolutely love our new place. Together, we’ve combined our belongings to make ourselves feel right at home. The only area of the house that still needs some improvement is the backyard. With plenty of room to work with, we have both a deck and small yard that need a littlelot of TLC. My goal for the rest of the summer is to make a cozy patio area where we can relax and entertain. One thing I know for sure, a fire pit will be included!
