This past weekend I got to pack my bags and head to Austin for a good old fashioned girls weekend. With a day off for President’s Day, my sister and a friend were able to take advantage of the long weekend and fly down to Texas. We had one mission for the weekend: EAT. And boy, did we do just that! From the moment the roomie and I arrived in Austin, it was one great meal after the next!
We started our Austin adventure out on South Congress Street where we found small bites and oyster shooters at Perla’s. We then ventured down the street and made a few quick stops along the way. A slice of pizza from Home Slice to share. A cupcake from Hey Cupcake! And of course, a quick stop at Jo’s for a coffee and a photo op at the iconic “I love you so much” sign!
We ended our afternoon with a michelada from Hotel San Jose. The airy atmosphere and laid back feel of the hotel bar was the perfect ending to our South Congress tour. The day, however, would not have been complete without our fabulous dinner at Lambert’s. Let’s just say, to-die-for.
As you can see, our first day in Austin was a huge success. I cannot wait to share some more details about our trip a little later!

These pictures are so pretty! I just pinned two of my favorites. Keep the fab pics coming! xx
Agree! More fab photos! What camera are you using?
Thank you, Caroline! I am using a Canon Rebel T3 with a fixed 85 mm lens!
