When I spotted this layered Anthropologie tank this past weekend I knew it would be the perfect transition piece for fall. It’s ideal for the hot weather we have now but will also look great under a blazer when the temps start to cool down. I was drawn to the combo of the windowpane print, tiered ruffles, and subtle beading at the neckline. What’s not to love? Super easy and super cute.

This past weekend I got to go home for the first time in TEN months! TEN MONTHS! It was a long overdue trip that left me wanting to immediately book another flight back. Although it felt like nothing had changed, we found ourselves exploring all the new hot spots and eateries. Our first stop was County Club for lunch. Since Kentucky is outrageously humid right now, this white ruffle top was the perfect choice to keep me cool for our afternoon of taste testing and sightseeing.

Do you carry a tote bag to work every day? I do. It’s really the only option for fitting my laptop and all of the other countless belongings I like to have with me. Lately, I’ve been carrying this bag none-stop and now that the seasons are starting to change (well, not really in Dallas, but hopefully soon…), I think it’s time for an update. I’ve been obsessed with this BIEN tote from Madewell from the minute I saw it but how can you compete with this grey stunner from Loeffler Randall? Which is your favorite?
I may not be headed back to school but that doesn’t mean I can’t do a little dreaming of what my back to school shopping would include. I don’t think I’ve carried a backpack since 8th grade but this one has got me thinking it may be time to bring them back!

Although my last post primarily featured photos of the amazing wildlife and scenery from our trip to the Galapagos Islands, I was also able to enjoy the small town of Santa Cruz and explore “city” life while I was there. Looking back at these photos makes me realize how much I miss this trip!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! xx
To say that my trip to the Galapagos Islands was memorable would be putting it lightly. It was a once in a lifetime trip filled with experiences that will stay with me forever! Trying to capture the beauty in a photo was no easy task – they were truly some of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever seen. Whether I was on a hike around an island or snorkeling in the ocean with sharks (yes, I swam with sharks!), I constantly had to remind myself to take it all in!
One of the most fascinating things to me about the Galapagos besides the views, was obviously the wildlife. There were SO many wild animals to see, but it was their behavior that was like nothing I’ve experienced before. When it comes to humans they are fearless, which allows you to experience their world up close and personal like never before! I’ll be the first to admit,
I hate birds I am not a bird person. That being said, there is no way you can go to the Galapagos and not admire the albatross with their insanely large wing-span or the blue footed boobies and their goofy little dance.
I’ll be back tomorrow with more! In the meantime, to see some additional photos from our trip, hop on over to Instagram!
This little white dress from Gap has quickly become my summer staple. So much so that I went back and scored this denim version on sale this past weekend! HOLLA! We all know how I feel about a good fit & flare, but I love how feminine this dress makes me feel the minute I put it on! And did I mention it has pockets? Do I dare say BEST DRESS EVER?!
If you haven’t already, I highly suggest you scoop yourself up one (or two) of these dresses while you still can. Let’s be honest, we still have a lot of warm weather ahead of us here in Dallas!
3 days. That’s how many I have to wait until I am in the Galapagos Islands! I could not be more excited about this summer adventure! Today, I decided to make a little packing guide to highlight some of the items I’ll be taking with me on my trip! Make sure to follow along here!
It’s no secret that I love an easy dress. I went into Gap this weekend in search of work-out clothes and what did I end up with? This dress. I’m a sucker for a good fit-and-flare but was torn between the black and white version and these beige-y pink stripes. Ultimately I ended up choosing pink and couldn’t be happier. I even wore it out that night!
