Dress: Kate Spade Boots: Frye c/o

Sometimes it’s the small details that make a garment so special! You all know I am a huge fan of bows, both big and small! So as you can imagine, it was the subtle little bow on the back of this dress that really sold me!

Sweater: Somedays Lovin’

I’ve always been a fan of makeup. In high school, I would spend hours locked in my bathroom playing with new eye shadow palettes and testing various lipsticks and glosses. That being said, I am by no means an expert. I’ve never mastered the cat-eye and I’m not sure I ever will. While beauty has always been something I’ve loved, it hasn’t been until recently that my entire beauty regimen has become important to me. I guess as I continue to get older (I’m turning 26 this weekend!), I’m starting to now realize how important it is to take care of my skin (and body)!

For those reasons, I was so excited when Glossybox reached out to partner with them to become a #Glossyblogger. I might like beauty products, but that doesn’t mean I always know which ones to buy (and how to even use them!). When you subscribe to Glossybox, you receive a new box every month with new products. But what I really love is that they also tell you exactly what each product is, what the ingredients are, and how to use it! Complete with tips, trick, and fun facts along the way!

I can’t help but think this would be the perfect gift for a friend or family member! Keep that in mind as the holidays continue to get closer ; )

Hello, October!

Happy October y’all! This is my absolute favorite time of the year! I mentioned it before, but I have become seriously addicted to ponchos. For me, they are perfect for layering and for this transitioning weather. I’ll be honest, I’ve gone a little poncho crazy these past few weeks and am a tad embarrassed to even admit how many I’ve brought home. When they are all under $50, how can you say no? You can’t.

See some of my favorite finds below!

Highs & Lows

Top: SheInside (similar top here with more sizes) Leggings: 7 For All Mankind Shoes: Louboutin Sunglasses: Forever 21 Bag: Chanel

This outfit is the ultimate mixture of highs and lows. While the top and sunglasses were both under $20, I paired them with pieces that are a true investments and will stand the test of time. I often find that if you invest in a few accessories that will never go out of style, you can easily test out trends by playing around with pieces that are much more affordable!

Happy Friday, Y’all!

We were luckily enough to experience a fall-like day while in NYC and you better bet I took advantage. I found this plaid dress for only $25 and thought it was such a deal! I have no doubt it’s going to be on heavy rotation this fall!

White After Labor Day

Top: Lou & Grey (almost identical version here) Jeans: Paige Booties: Sam Edleman (also seen here) Clutch: Clare V. Sunglasses: Forever 21

I’ll be honest, I am not a huge rule breaker. However, when it comes to wearing white, there are NO RULES in my book. In the past, wearing white after labor day was a huge no-no, but luckily for us times have changed. Especially when living in Dallas where we so badly want it to be fall, but are still facing triple-digit heat.

For my first day in NYC, I decided to throw all rules out the window and wear my white jeans for a casual look to run around the city. In order to make the look a little more fall(ish), I paired them with my favorite tan booties and a grey and white plaid top.

Denim Dress

Clare V Clutch Denim Dress dallas-fashion-blog-love-you-mean-it-2420Dress: Ever (similar versions here & here) Clutch: Clare V Necklace: Dogeared Watch: Arvo Wear Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

After I first bought this distressed denim dress I had second thoughts. Would I actually wear it? Is it my style? What do I wear with it? I could go on and on but I decided to give it a chance and my fears were quickly erased. It was perfect and I knew it. My first intuition was right and now I know it’s going to be a dress I’ll wear all fall. It’s easy, comfortable, and most importantly, versatile! Three qualities that make the perfect closet staple.

Tailgate Season

Free People Tank

Fringe BootieTop: Free People (only $20!) Shorts: Hudson Shoes: Sam Edelman Necklace: Dogeared Sunglasses: Ray-Ban Watch: Arvo Wear

As much as I hate to admit it, it’s officially football season. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing I love more than a true fall day, cuddled up in a sweater and cheering on the horns, BUT, with football also comes stressful nights and the fear that B might actually have a heart attack one day.

When it comes to tailgating, I also struggle with the fact that it’s still 100 degrees here in Texas. As you can imagine, when I found this Free People tank, for only $20 I might add, I was elated. It’s the perfect color (which is super hard to find) AND it’s lightweight. But wait, it gets better! This tank comes in a ton of colors, so you too might be able to find the perfect one for your team too!
